The Geek Girls Collaborative Camp (GeGCoC) is a weeklong ICT mentoring camp to bring together Nigerian Secondary School girls, female undergraduates, female teachers and mentors, with the main objective of mentoring and improving girls' involvement in Information and Communication Technology, both as a profession and as a problem solving tool in their various professions. This is part of the global efforts at improving the interest and participation in technology, both as a profession and as a necessary tool in their day-to-day activities. The event features successful female leaders in ICT to serve as role models and mentors to these students.
Year after year, the camp has been boosting the confidence of hundreds of participants who are more motivated to be involved in Technology. This is done by enabling them to create personal ICT projects after undergoing hands-on ICT training and mentoring.
